Tree Frogs & Narrow-mouthed Frogs
in
Tabin Wildlife Reserve

The tree frogs are characteristic of the world’s tropical rain forests and they present several interesting species for the keen observer to watch, including the flying frogs.

The narrow-mouthed frogs are generally tropical species. The sticky frogs are tiny litter dwellers with finely granular skin that exudes a sticky mucus from dorsal glands. The bullfrogs are large, squat frogs that can inflate themselves dramatically and have a characteristic noisy calls.

The tree frogs are essentially an Asian family and almost all species live in bushes or trees where they breed in tree holes or other bits of standing water. They are small, lively and fun to watch (e.g. Rhacophorus pardalis, the harlequin tree frog right).
