Reptiles & Amphibians |

Frogs and Toads - As a watershed area Tabin supports dozens of species of amphibian. These are some of the colourful frogs and toads that can be seen and heard in Tabin (e.g. Borneo red flying frog upper right). Snakes - The snakes of Tabin are shy but some are venomous (e.g. cobra at lower right) so due care must be taken by visitors. With due care the reptiles of Tabin provide a rewarding wildlife viewing experience (JHL Photos). Lizards & turtles are sometimes not too shy of quietly moving people and the observant visitor can approach them closely enough for good photographs. (Sabah Wildlife Dept. photos except as noted). |
